Corinne Cain // Research Analyst

Corinne Cain is a Research Analyst at RTS. Since joining the RTS team, she has worked primarily on assessing regional creative economies in North Carolina, South Carolina, and the Milwaukee area of Wisconsin. Through this work, Ms. Cain has combined her creativity as an artist with RTS’ strategic support of the creative economy as an economic and community development tool. She has also analyzed local food systems and natural resources cluster in the Danville region of Virginia and for the state of Vermont. Ms. Cain puts her Sustainable Development background to use when assessing local food systems and with projects such as an energy gap analysis of the Appalachian Region, an effort to assess the green energy economy in the area.

Ms. Cain also writes for the CraftNet newsletter, a learning and innovation network of colleges with programs in the arts or design hosted by RTS, Inc. She is enthusiastic about developing artisan-based strengths to aid the development of local economies.

Ms. Cain received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology/Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. In addition to her work with RTS, Inc., Ms. Cain also runs a handmade recycled art greeting card company, Luna Crew, with all original artwork created from reclaimed and recycled materials.
